1919 is a weekly show at The New Movement that features a stellar cast: Derek Dupuy, Chris Trew, CJ Hunt, Tami Nelson, Mike Spara, Chris Kaminstein, Mike Yoder, Cecile Monteyne, Jared Gore, Ian Hoch, and James Hamilton – almost 100 years of improv experience combined.
It’s a group of performers who helped build the improv scene in New Orleans. It’s a collective of individuals who got us to the first building which got us the second.
But mostly, it’s improvisers who are just looking for a monthly excuse to play around on stage together.
This show is part of the Megaphone Marathons! Festival info and tickets/wristbands below!
The New Movement celebrates 6 years of being the nerve center of the Austin comedy scene with a week-long comedy marathon featuring the best of Austin improv and sketch, special guests from TNM New Orleans, and other surprises (and lots of partying).
The Megaphone Marathons also includes the best improv training intensive in the country, TNM’s Training Camp (now registering HERE!) Learn comedy like an athlete all day for 5 days, and perform in front of crowds every single night. It’s the most fun way to grow as a comedian, and perhaps as a person. Space is mega-limited, so jump on it.
Everfest called MM6 one of the Top 12 Comedy Festivals, but it’s also a kickass intensive, and TNM’s official 6 year anniversary as a theater. And it’s two damn weeks long, so if you like what we’re doing in Austin in Week 1, follow us to New Orleans for Week 2 and do it all over again (differently) in another great city, amongst another great comedy community.
All shows are $7 online/$10 @ door. We’re offering a limited number of wristbands for only $30 per city, which give you access to every show we can throw at you.
This is THE time of the year to binge on a bunch of wonderful shows that you can’t see any other time. We hope to see you there!
