Wednesdays are a popular day of the week at The New Movement. Our completely free intro to improv class, Improv Zero, happens at 7:00p and is always followed by The Shootaround, Austin’s longest running long form improv jam, at 8:00. RSVP is not necessary, just show up (and bring a friend)!

IMPROV ZERO
It certainly seems that taking an improv comedy class would be nerve racking. We understand you may want to test drive before you sign up, that’s why we offer our Improv Zero class each and every week at 7:00p. We’ll take this time to answer any questions you may have about the unique approach to improv The New Movement teaches as well as run a mock class so you can see what you’re getting yourself into. Learning good improv is very similar to learning how to play pretend all over again – come see what makes our classes so popular.

THE SHOOTAROUND
Since our inception we’ve been offering a place where students (and non-students alike) of long-form improv can come demonstrate their skills and meet fellow performers. The Shootaround is extremely informal and free of judgment, so come ready to play regardless of your experience level. Tip-off is around 8:00p and we’ll play til the lights go out. Audience is welcome!

IMPROV DOUBLE ZERO
Occasionally we offer Improv Double Zero – a free introductory class to experienced improvisers. Since we’re dealing with a completely unique syllabus and students can “test” out of Level 1, we’d like to show you what makes The New Movement different. Times vary so check back soon for the date and time!

STANDUP and SKETCH ZERO
