The New Movement is excited to pay homage to the father of modern improv, Del Close, in a special weekend dedicated to the format he created, the Harold. On a visit to Austin in the 70’s Del said the city was “The Berkeley of the Southwest.” So for one weekend the best Harold groups in Austin as well as a handful of visiting acts take over the programming at TNM.

Crescent (featuring members of TheJetBlacks)This NOLA troupe of ragtag wonders was put together by Viking Cruise gods to sail the river Harold. Robin, Julia, Rosie, Breanna, Chris, & Kala dive into fun-furious worlds on stage as they represent The New Movement New Orleans in their sweet hearts. Some might say these stage-jockeys are the bee’s knees but, hey, we all know insect anatomy and bees only have kankles. They are most definitely the bee’s kankles.

Sugar, Water, Purple: info coming soon!
2H Club: 2H Club is Houston, Texas’s house Harold team. Since 2015, this diverse group has shared their love of the classic improv form at their home base of Station Theater. They’ve also taken their unique mix of playstyles all across this great country, performing at NYC’s Del Close Marathon, at Austin’s Cold Towne Theater and The New Movement, and the Oklahoma City Improv Fest. Next you can catch them at the Chicago Improv Fest and the Alaska State Improv Festival. 2H Club includes Aaron Garrett, Amechi Ngwe, Angela Lee, Antoine WB, Calan Lambert, Kenneth Andrews, and Monica Marcha.
