Chris Trew

Chris was at the forefront of an improv revival and played a major role in exploding the burgeoning Austin improv scene. After years of teaching students the basics of improv at various theaters, winning numerous local awards and becoming notable festival performers, Chris opened The New Movement, a unique training center focusing on a specific style of comedy and performance.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Chris has worked with kids (Brite Lights Acting Studio, CAST), teenagers (OutYouth), college students (UT Informal Classes, Oberlin Improv Conference), and everyone in between. From casual performers to people aggressively pursuing a career in comedy.
In addition to having coached almost every Austin improviser at some point, Chris has taught workshops to groups in Atlanta GA, Jackson MS, New Orleans LA, Covington LA, Los Angeles CA, Baltimore MD, Philadelphia PA, Dallas TX, St. Louis MO, Myrtle Beach SC, and Oberlin OH. He’s also been hired to teach at the following national comedy festivals: North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, New Orleans Improv Festival and Out of Bounds Comedy Festival.

Chris Trew aka Terp 2 it is a nationally touring comedian, rapper and improv teacher. He’s toured the country performing at most major comedy festivals in North America.
