Danu Uribe has been perfecting her pratfalls and polishing her spit-takes since she was just a baby.

Danu has followed her natural predilection, going on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas.

After graduation, Danu discovered Improvisational Comedy at the Heroes of Comedy School of Improv in Austin, Texas.

Later, she became a member of the Latino Comedy Project,
a multimedia sketch comedy troupe.

With them, she wrote and starred in an ad campaign for MTV3 for which she received a 2009 Emmy nomination.
She has gone on to receive the Best Acting award in 2010 for the 48 Hour Film Project, “Declaration” by Arts & Labor.

Off-camera, Danu provides Voice-over talent for animated, educational, industrial, commercial and film projects internationally.

Since Danu’s introduction to The New Movement as a monologist at a Cinco de Mayo Megaphone show, she has been inspired to continue to study Improv at The New Movement.

On-stage, Danu can be seen performing with house troupes Delta Burka and Claws with Fangs.
