Raised on cold, mean streets of Cypress, Texas, Dan Mateer moved to Austin in 2005 to attend The University of Texas. It was soon after graduation when Dan finally decided to quit his part time job at Pottery Barn to pursue a more personally constructive hobby. The goal was simple – more funny, less cougars. Friend and fraternity brother, Aaron Walther, suggested the two take a level 1 improv class at The New Movement and soon after both became actively involved in the theater. Dan performs with the Harold-centered troupe City High as well as a three-man outfit called DJ Danger Dad. When he’s not doing improv, Dan enjoys working out to ska music, wetting his feet in amateur photography, and building his career working for The Internet.
