Brock LaBorde

Brock LaBorde is an LA-based comedian who has penned two books (You Are the Messiah! and The Semi-Complete Guide to Sort of Being a Gentleman) as well as a healthy pile of feature-length and TV scripts. Currently, Brock is working on his third book, (Living with a Really Tiny Penis) and producing a feature documentary about the Air Sex World Championships. As a sketch performer and improviser, he plays on stages all across America.

Brock’s production company, Studio 8, creates original web programming and a variety of promotional series and videos for brands like Machinima, Intel, AT&T, and Mattel. In 2010, Comedy Central aired Studio 8’s horror TV pilot The House That Drips Blood on Alex, and recently, Studio 8 produced The Tommy Wi-Show, a sci-fi video game review/talk show web series starring cult film legend Tommy Wiseau.

For the past 5 years, Brock has also owned and operated The New Movement, a duo of critically-acclaimed improv theaters in Austin and New Orleans, cultivating an ever-growing army of comedic talent. Aside from hosting national touring acts like Toddy Barry and Hannibal Buress, TNM also produces comedy festivals such as Hell Yes Fest, Moontower Comedy Festival, Megaphone Marathons, and the first-of-its-kind Improv Wins Conference.

Somewhat amazingly, Brock is doing all of the above things. And maybe a little more.In his spare time, Brock enjoys working. He is repped by Alan Siegel Entertainment.
