Ariel started taking classes at the New Movement in June 2011 and quickly realized this was her new home. Before moving to Austin she attended Brooklyn College in NYC. While living in the Big Apple she trained/performed in both sketch & improv at Upright Citizens Brigade theater. She was lucky enough to be trained by DC Pierson, Chris Gethard, Michael Delaney, Neil Casey, and many other wonderful folks. The fantastic troupes she appears with at the New Movement are Disco Box, So Many Dicks, the Black Plague, and Joy Behar Book Club. Ariel is also honored to direct TNM 10, a glorious sketch show.
Besides improv/sketch Ariel enjoys tiny boxes, red pandas, books about medical oddities, and getting overly excited. She probably loves you. That’s a thing she does too. People are cool, right?
