RandomBeats is off the shelf and in person at SXSW
Is this your first time putting on a show for SXSW?
Yes and no, I performed during film week in 2008, when I was lucky enough have my music in a film that debuted at SXSW that year. It was an awesome experience, I have a ball anytime I’m in Austin… but SXSW is just so special.
What is your “style”?
I call it “New Age Retro.” something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue… it’s Hip Hop + Soul + 8 bit rhythms = The Random Experience. Strap in.
How did you develop your own style?
It came from the many years of being a music fan, a gamer, and lover of life… It’s taken some time for me to fully find myself, but everything from my live show to song concepts, is always approached from the view of the music fan first.
What do you expect from this SXSW show?
A lot of fun, a lot of fans, and a lot of music! My show is a fully interactive, comedic, high energy experience… Mega Ran’s A-game will be in full effect.
Where do you see yourself going from here?
This year, SXSW, next year, worldwide… no excuses, no exceptions. Building the Mega Ran brand into a movement!
